Car ParkingFormal advice:
- Car parking permits can be requested using a form which is available from the Clock Tower Reception Desk. However permits are allocated on the basis of a variety of factors and provision is not guaranteed.
Informal advice:
- Car parks for permit holders can fill up before 8am.
- It is possible to park in the Pay & Display car parks on site, but this can be difficult at peak times and you must pay.
- There are a number of residential streets around the Northern General site where staff often park. However please be mindful that residents may not be pleased about staff parking outside their homes for work and please park considerately. Some streets may have restrictions in place depending on the time of day.
- There have been reports of vehicle break-ins/vandalism and crime towards staff, particularly when leaving the hospital site out of hours. Therefore please do not leave any valuables on display and, if working out of hours, consider your parking options carefully.
- If you are able, consider car-sharing with colleagues.
