The Royal Hallamshire Hospital is situated a mile from the city on the Trust's central campus. Nearly 6,000 staff work at the Royal Hallamshire in a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical roles.

The hospital has around 850 beds for the care of inpatients and a number of specialist outpatient clinics including a prosthetic eye department and specialist ophthalmology centre.

A Minor Injuries Unit offer services for people with small injuries that that can be treated without the need for emergency care.

Car Parking

Public Transport
H1 Hospital Shuttle Bus – This bus is free to all Sheffield Teaching Hospitals staff that show their ID badge and operates between the hours of 6am and 6pm. It travels between the Clock Tower Building at the Northern General and Beech Hill Road at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, but you can also catch it from certain stops along the route. Cycling

For keen cyclists there are a number of areas around the hospital where bikes can be locked & kept throughout the day. There are open areas where you can chain your bike or there are also secure bike shelters which can be accessed by code or key only.
